7-14-12 Takes a while to get into these books because of the complex set-up. So far, a positive difference from Power Down is that the author makes us really care about non-hero characters. (Which means probably they will die :-(. ) That doesn't mean I didn't care about the non-combatants in PD.
Appalling that the entire war is (set up as) a result of a man choosing not to keep his penis in his pants. But not atypical. Rape seems to be a given with war,a result--usually--or cause. Is this reasonable????
